Besides being a huge Lennon fanatic, I am also a believer in the teachings of Gandhi. I think his beliefs in peaceful protests instead of violence where truly enlightning not only to me but to the rest of the world too.

Biography He was born Oct.9, 1940 in Liverpool, England, to Julia and Alfred Lennon. Soon after he was born his father left and did not reappear till John was 5 and tried to kidnap him and take him to New Zealand. Julia stopped this attempt but right after took him to live with his aunt Mimi and uncle George, who he had bbeen living with for about 3 years already. John expierienced the first of many tradgedies in life when he was about 14, his uncle George died of a heart attack. After that, Julia started coming to see John and Mimi more and more until her death in 1958, which deeply affected John, who had just started becoming reaquainted with his mother. Just about the time of Julia's death John started his first band, the Quarry Men. In about 1962 what is now known as the Beatles was formed. In 1964 they became an international sensation. John had married Cynthia Powell in 1963 and had a son John Charles Julian Lennon. In 1969 he divorced Cynthia and married Yoko Ono. The Beatles broke up in 1970 and John went on to pursue solo projects until 1975. He and Yoko had a son they named Sean Taro Lennon. Sean is another name for John. In 1980 after John released his newest and last album, Double Fantasy, he was shot 5 times and later died in front of his New York apartment by a deranged fan, Mark David Chapman. His life left a lasting legacy for the future. I just wish every body could know how great of a man he truly was.
